Apigee Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Apigee Engineer to design, develop, secure, and maintain APIs using Google Apigee (Edge/Hybrid/X). The role involves managing the full API lifecycle, implementing security best practices, optimizing performance, and enabling automated deployments in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy API proxies, policies, and shared flows using Apigee

• Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT, and SAML

• Manage and support Apigee X/Hybrid/Edge environments

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize API performance and reliability

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated API deployments

• Develop reusable shared flows for security, logging, and traffic management

• Maintain technical and API portal documentation

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in API management

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Google Apigee

• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, XML

• Experience with Java, Python, or JavaScript

• Hands-on experience with OAuth, JWT authentication mechanisms

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform

• Experience using Git, Postman, Splunk, and Apigee Analytics
