The Opportunity-
Our client, a global healthcare services organization supporting the medical device and pharmaceutical industries, is looking for a hands-on Service Delivery Technician to join its IT team for a large-scale computer refresh initiative.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on desktop deployment and imaging work and wants to join an established enterprise IT environment for a focused, fast-moving project.
The organization is currently completing one of its largest endpoint refreshes to date, with approximately 1,200 computers targeted for replacement this year. You'll work alongside an experienced Service Delivery team to image, configure, deploy, and track new Windows devices for employees across the organization.
What You'll Be Doing-
- Image and configure Windows desktops and laptops using Microsoft SCCM
- Work from an onsite imaging bench and prepare multiple devices at a time
- Configure devices according to corporate standards, including Group Policy, BitLocker encryption, and required software
- Prepare fully configured computers for employees working remotely
- Coordinate directly with employees to schedule computer replacements and confirm device requirements
- Ship new equipment, validate successful setup, and coordinate the return of old devices
- Track each computer refresh accurately within the company's ITSM platform
- Prepare retired equipment for secure recycling/disposal
- Troubleshoot basic imaging, Windows, software, and connectivity issues
- Partner with senior IT team members and escalate more complex technical issues as needed
The work is heavily focused on deployment and imaging rather than traditional help desk/break-fix support.
What We're Looking For-
The ideal candidate is a hands-on Desktop Support, Deployment, or Service Delivery Technician who can quickly step into a high-volume refresh environment.
Must Have:
- Approximately 2–3+ years of hands-on SCCM imaging experience
- Experience imaging computers over a corporate network
- Strong understanding of the Windows imaging/deployment process
- Familiarity with Group Policy, BitLocker, and software installation/configuration
- Experience supporting Windows desktops and laptops
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document deployments
- Comfortable working through structured processes, checklists, and project deadlines
- Strong communication and customer-service skills when working with non-technical employees
- Ability to learn quickly and become productive after a short ramp-up period
Nice to Have
- Experience coordinating remote computer deployments from shipment through setup and return
- Microsoft 365 experience
- Active Directory / Entra ID knowledge
- Experience with ITSM or ticketing platforms
- Hardware and software troubleshooting experience
- Previous experience supporting a large-scale desktop/laptop refresh project
The formal role requirements also identify Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID, ITSM tools, remote support, and hardware/software troubleshooting as relevant technical experience.
Why This Opportunity?
This is a well-defined, hands-on project where you'll be able to come in and make an immediate impact. You'll work alongside an established Service Delivery team, including a senior onsite engineer, while focusing primarily on endpoint deployment rather than getting pulled into day-to-day help desk work.
The initial engagement is expected to last approximately 6–8 weeks, with some flexibility depending on project progress and the potential to support additional business units.
If you have strong SCCM imaging experience and enjoy hands-on deployment work, we'd love to hear from you!
