Position: Software Engineer III - Al & Automation Platform
Location: NYC, NY (ONSITE)
Role Description:
We're looking for a Software Engineer III to help build the next generation of Al-powered developer tools and automation
platforms. You'll be part of an agile team designing, building, and delivering scalable software products end-to-end - writing
production-quality code that applies modern software architecture and Al/agentic frameworks to real engineering problems.
Job Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications and services (APIs, backend systems, internal tools) that power automation platforms used across the firm
Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code following best practices (code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, version control)
Design and build Al-powered automation agents as software products, integrating LLMs and agentic frameworks (LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAl, or similar) into engineering workflows
Build internal developer tools, libraries, and self-service platforms that improve developer productivity while meeting security and compliance requirements
Integrate ML-driven anomaly detection and telemetry into applications, working with observability platforms (Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana)
Support production systems you help build, including root-cause analysis and on-call rotations
Analyze usage/performance data to inform engineering decisions and drive continuous improvement
Contribute to a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Formal training or certification in software engineering with 3+ years applied experience in software development
Strong proficiency in Python (or similar language) with experience designing and shipping production software
Experience with software engineering practices: version control, code review, automated testing, CI/CD
Experience building/consuming APIs and services; solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design
Experience with logging, monitoring, and observability integration
Solid understanding of agile methodologies and secure coding principles
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
. Experience with Al/ML or agentic frameworks (LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAl) and LLM APIs (OpenAl, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic)
. Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket)
. Experience building automation bots, developer tools, or internal platforms
. Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
. Experience with vector databases and RAG architectures
. Experience working in highly regulated industries
