Senior SAP SD Consultant Credit Card / Payments Domain

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP SD Consultant with strong expertise in credit card processing and payment handling. The ideal candidate will have deep functional knowledge of SAP SD processes, hands-on experience integrating credit card/payment gateways, and the ability to work closely with business and technical stakeholders in an onshore client-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support SAP SD configuration and enhancements including:

Order-to-Cash (OTC)

Pricing, Billing, Invoicing

Credit management and payment processing

Design and implement credit card processing solutions within SAP SD, including:

Authorization, settlement, refunds, and chargebacks

Integration with external payment gateways and third-party processors

Collaborate with FI, MM, and technical teams to ensure seamless end-to-end payment flow.

Work closely with business users to gather requirements, provide functional solutions, and translate business needs into system design.

Support UAT, defect resolution, and production support related to SD and payment processes.

Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS and security standards related to credit card handling.

Provide guidance to junior consultants and participate in solution reviews and best-practice discussions.

Prepare functional documentation including BRDs, FSDs, and test scripts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

8 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP SD.

Strong expertise in credit card/payment processing within SAP.

Experience with payment gateways, authorization flows, settlements, and reconciliation.

Solid understanding of OTC cycle, pricing procedures, billing, and credit management.

Experience working with SAP FI integration (AR, payments, reconciliation).

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work onshore with US clients and coordinate across time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SAP S/4HANA.

Exposure to high-volume transaction environments (retail, e-commerce, subscription-based billing).

Prior experience in client-facing or consulting roles.

Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements related to payment processing.

Nice to Have

Experience with payment service providers (e.g., Stripe, CyberSource, Adyen, PayPal, etc.).

Understanding of fraud management and dispute handling processes.
