In this pivotal role, your expertise will directly shape investment strategies and contribute to the firm?s continued success, influencing critical decisions by fostering high-impact connections at the highest levels.

Are you ready to step into a high-impact, high-visibility opportunity where you will become a trusted bridge, focusing on 1 to 2 key industry sectors? You will act as a strategic partner to internal investment professionals, orchestrating targeted engagement with corporate management teams, Investor Relations (IR) professionals, industry experts, and key market participants. This is your chance to make a tangible difference in the investment research process and contribute directly to global market success.

What You Will Do

  • Cultivate and strengthen strategic relationships with CEOs, CFOs, IR directors, sell-side partners, and third-party expert providers, articulating the firm?s long-term investment philosophy to build trust and expand engagement opportunities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of portfolio managers? and research analysts? coverage priorities, proactively identifying, originating, and suggesting high-impact management meetings, site visits, conferences, expert interactions, and field trips.
  • Independently source, organize, and navigate complex scheduling and stakeholder dynamics for corporate access events, partnering with internal meeting planners to ensure seamless execution.
  • Collaborate closely with regional colleagues across various geographies, as well as internal teams supporting compliance, research data, and technology functions.
  • Maintain accurate tracking and activity metrics within industry-standard research systems, leveraging modern productivity and AI-driven platforms to streamline workflow efficiency.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 5 to 8+ years of direct experience in Corporate Access, Investor Relations, Equity Research / Sell-Side Research, Institutional Sales, or Investment Banking within financial services or asset management.
  • Strong understanding of capital markets, public company corporate structures, and the investment research lifecycle.
  • Proven track record of interacting directly with C-suite executives and senior stakeholders with high professional maturity, poise, and discretion.
  • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, research-driven environment, comfortable taking initiative, managing competing priorities, navigating rejection, and swiftly pivoting strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with industry platforms such as CorpAxe, CapIQ, Bloomberg, FactSet, or SAP FIQ.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and workflow assistants (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to optimize productivity.
  • Bachelor?s degree required.
  • Travel may occur as client engagement evolves.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Sector expertise in Industrials or Small Cap.
  • CFA (or progress toward), Investor Relations Certificate (IRC), MBA, or relevant industry certifications are advantageous.

Client Description

This client is one of our largest financial services clients. But don?t let that stop you from reading further!

We place so many freelancers here who consistently tell us its one of the best places they?ve worked. Why? The teams, the culture, the management, and most recently, the client?s willingness to recognize that it was important to step up to the digital demands of the marketplace:

  • A new CMO and high level digital leadership that have transitioned in from top technology, retail and CPG companies

  • Transitioning their marketing structure to Agile methodology to be able to deliver valuable content to its audiences faster

  • They even followed this up with a floor remodel, to support the methodology, creativity & collaboration

We hear often that the constant here is change. The company is consistently trying new approaches that they think will improve not only their product offerings but the worklife as well. If you?re used to ?going with the flow?, this is a great opportunity for you!

These are key elements to be able to walk away with and add to your resume, especially if you?re coming from a traditional marketing structure. What a great way to help transition your career in this trending direction!
