Data Migration Engineer

Our client, is driving a major data modernization effort following its acquisition. We''re looking for a hands-on Data Migration Engineer to help move critical mortgage data from AS400 (IBM i) into a modern SAS environment.

This is a high-impact role where you''ll work directly with legacy systems and modern data tooling to enable enterprise analytics.

What You''ll Do

Migrate mortgage data from AS400 / DB2 to SAS
Analyze and work with RPG (RPG III / IV) code and data structures
Build and manage transformation pipelines using DBT
Ensure data quality, integrity, and reconciliation during migration
Collaborate with business and technical teams on requirements and validation

What You Bring

✅ Strong experience with AS400 / IBM i
✅ Expertise in RPG programming
✅ Hands-on experience with DBT
✅ Solid background in data migration / ETL / ELT
✅ Experience with DB2 (AS400) and SQL
✅ Exposure to SAS (preferred)

Nice to Have

Mortgage / financial services experience
Cloud or modern data platform exposure (AWS, Azure, Snowflake)
