Senior Technical Lead Architecture - Enterprise Risk Delivery

They must come from a highly regulated environment if they do not come from financial firm
Fulltime in office work arrangement right now. However, we can offer up to 6 remote weeks per year with manager approval. We also have summer Fridays this year where employees can work remotely and sign off up to 4 hours early from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Annual bonus target is typically $40-50K for this role.
SALARY: $210,000 to $230,000
LOCATION: McLean, VA 5 days in office

Enterprise risk delivery, financial risk technology, innovation modernization including transformation through GenAI. BS degree 10 year software engineering deep experience software engineering architecture microservices APIs 12 factors Kubernetes Kafka Java Python AWS Azure Google Cloud Platform AWS preferred experience with building GenAI and AI solutions CICD devops agile must come from a highly regulated environment.
Your Impact:
Lead the design of complex, high-impact technical solutions across multiple systems and teams, contributing to the overall technology vision across Enterprise Risk.
Partner with product and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into architectural blueprints and implementation roadmaps.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, ensuring alignment with architecture principles and best practices.
Own and evolve architectural standards, patterns, and documentation for long-term scalability and maintainability.
Evaluate emerging technologies and make strategic recommendations aligned with business goals.
Conduct architectural reviews and provide hands-on support when needed for technical decisions.
Drive cross-functional alignment, balancing innovation, speed, and technical debt.
Collaborate with the company's Enterprise Technology, Architecture, Data, and Security organizations to ensure solutions are aligned with enterprise standards and principles.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s or master s degree
10+ years of software engineering experience, including hands-on experience with modern frameworks and technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Kafka, Angular, Java, Python)
8+ years in a senior architectural or technical leadership role.
This is a director level role as a single contributor.
Deep experience in solution architecture, microservices, APIs, integration patterns, security best practices, micro-front ends, 12 factors, etc.
Proven track record of designing and deploying scalable, cloud-native solutions within AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (AWS is preferred).
Experience with building GenAI and AI solutions
Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, CI/CD, DevOps practices, and Agile methodologies.
3+ years of relevant large-scale enterprise transformation experience as relates to architecture preferred.
Prior experience in the primary or secondary mortgage industry is desirable, with architecture experience in highly regulated industries (e.g., (finance, healthcare) required.
Certifications in cloud architecture (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional, etc.) are preferred
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
Ability to influence senior stakeholder and translate complex ideas into actionable outcomes.
