Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to design, build, and manage scalable enterprise data platforms supporting large-scale data processing and analytics initiatives. The role focuses on cloud migration, modern data architecture, data modeling, and security compliance within a regulated banking environment.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating enterprise-level data architecture blueprints, optimizing SQL/NoSQL systems, and ensuring data lineage, governance, and compliance standards across the organization. This role requires deep expertise in data integration, distributed systems, and modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake.
Key Responsibilities
Data Architecture & Strategy
- Design and implement enterprise data architecture frameworks aligned with organizational data strategy.
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support enterprise data initiatives.
- Create and maintain data architecture blueprints, standards, and best practices.
- Lead the modernization and cloud migration of legacy data platforms to cloud-native architectures.
- Architect scalable data lake, data warehouse, and real-time data processing solutions.
Data Integration & Engineering
- Design and implement data ingestion and integration pipelines using ETL/ELT tools.
- Build scalable batch and real-time data pipelines using technologies such as Kafka and streaming frameworks.
- Integrate data across multiple enterprise systems, applications, and third-party sources.
- Optimize and manage SQL and NoSQL databases for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Cloud Data Platform Development
- Architect and implement cloud-based data platforms using modern technologies such as Snowflake.
- Design data lake architectures and lakehouse environments to support advanced analytics and machine learning.
- Support enterprise initiatives for data warehouse modernization and migration to cloud platforms.
Data Governance & Compliance
- Ensure data lineage, metadata management, and data governance practices across enterprise data systems.
- Implement data security, privacy, and compliance frameworks aligned with banking regulations.
- Collaborate with governance teams to ensure data quality, master data management (MDM), and regulatory compliance.
- Define policies for data classification, access control, and encryption.
Performance Optimization
- Optimize SQL/NoSQL database systems for high performance and large-scale data processing.
- Implement best practices for data partitioning, indexing, query optimization, and workload management.
- Monitor and tune data platforms for scalability and reliability.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, analytics teams, and enterprise architects.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical data architecture solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance for data engineering teams and platform architects.

Qualifications & Experience
- 12+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data platforms.
- 5 7 years of experience in the banking or financial services domain.
- Proven experience designing data lakes, cloud data warehouses, and enterprise data platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Kafka, and ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica or Talend.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, data lineage, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Experience leading enterprise-scale data modernization or cloud migration initiatives.
