Snowflake Developer- migration from Informatica/Azure

POSITION SUMMARY

This position maintains momentum on Snowflake-native pipeline development during a coverage period. The team has standardized new pipeline work on Snowflake's native tooling rather than a separate orchestration and compute stack; this role builds to that established standard.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•            Build pipelines inside Snowflake, using Snowpark (Python) for transformations and Tasks and stored procedures to orchestrate them

•            Pull data in from REST APIs and Oracle sources, with the API calls made from inside Snowflake

•            Handle incremental loads and schema changes using Snowflake's native merge and load features

•            Work to our existing pipeline pattern: config-driven, with shared run-logging and failure alerting

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

•            Hands-on Snowflake development: Snowpark (Python), Tasks, stored procedures. Using Snowflake only as a place to run queries does not cover it

•            Calling external REST APIs from within Snowflake, using external access integrations

•            Strong Python and SQL, including reading and translating existing Oracle/PL-SQL logic

•            Incremental load patterns: merge/upsert, watermarking, change data capture

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

•            Snowflake notification integrations, internal stages, streams, dynamic tables

•            Higher-education data, or integration work sourced from an ERP

•            Another enterprise ETL platform alongside Snowflake. Not everything we run is Snowflake-native
