Job Description: Tolling Solutions Architect 4
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Tolling Solutions Architect 4 to lead the design, integration, and implementation of enterprise-level business solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and Enterprise Architects to translate complex business needs into secure, scalable, automated solutions across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud topologies.
Logistics & Contract Details
· Location: Richmond, VA (Local candidates strongly preferred)
· Work Arrangement: Hybrid — candidate must be able to travel to the Richmond office as needed for meetings (Maximum of 1 day per week).
· Interview Process: Virtual (Webcam required).
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design
· Create comprehensive application and solution architectures, component designs, and systems integration/implementation plans for specific business solutions.
· Produce critical solution design artifacts, including technical estimates, conceptual/logical/physical system designs, sequence diagrams, and data models.
· Design and implement Enterprise Security and technology patterns across applications.
· Analyze and estimate the feasibility and compatibility of new software with existing hardware and legacy programs; prototype solutions to meet business needs.
Requirements & Consultation
· Capture detailed requirements for data, workflows, logical processes, hardware/OS environments, and system interfaces (including internal and external checks/controls).
· Collaborate closely with business areas and Enterprise Architects to provide strategic consultation and map technical solutions to agency KPIs.
· Provide tactical direction and architectural considerations for legacy systems and ongoing IT initiatives.
Integration & Collaboration
· Lead efforts in defining, documenting, and estimating requirements for enterprise applications.
· Coordinate new system developments to ensure seamless integration with existing applications and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solutions.
· Work closely with IT staff, agile teams, and stakeholders to assess and automate business processes.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience
· Architectural Expertise: Proven track record of developing enterprise and solution-level architectural designs and linking cross-functional applications across disparate systems.
· Agile Frameworks: Solid experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) architecture and proven success working alongside Agile/Scrum teams.
· Business Analysis: Strong background in business/technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data mapping.
Technical Skills
· APIs & Data: Strong confidence and experience with API protocols and schemas (SOAP and REST), as well as XML constructs and schemas.
· Database Design: Deep knowledge of relational database design and data management techniques.
· QA & Security: Robust understanding of software quality assurance best practices, methodologies, and enterprise security design.
