Summary
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Databricks Administrator to manage, maintain, secure, and optimize the Databricks platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with workspace administration, user access management, cluster configuration, performance optimization, security, and integration with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain the Databricks workspace, clusters, compute resources, and platform configurations.
Manage user accounts, groups, permissions, service principals, and role-based access control (RBAC).
Configure and monitor clusters, jobs, workflows, and compute policies.
Implement security best practices, including access controls, secrets management, and data governance.
Manage Unity Catalog, catalogs, schemas, tables, and data access permissions.
Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot cluster failures, job errors, and connectivity issues.
Optimize cluster utilization and compute costs.
Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment of notebooks, jobs, and workflows across environments.
Integrate Databricks with cloud services such as Azure Data Lake Storage, AWS S3, or Google Cloud Storage.
Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and DevOps teams to ensure platform stability and availability.
Maintain administrative documentation, operational procedures, and compliance standards.
Required Skills
Hands-on experience administering the Databricks platform.
Strong knowledge of Databricks workspaces, clusters, jobs, and compute configuration.
Experience with user administration, access management, RBAC, and service principals.
Knowledge of Unity Catalog and data governance.
Experience with at least one cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
Familiarity with Python, SQL, and Spark fundamentals.
Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance/cost optimization.
Knowledge of Git and CI/CD tools.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
