We are excited to announce that the Workers Compensation System Modernization (WCSM) Program is seeking a Program Management Office (PMO) Director. This role is crucial in developing foundational project management controls and plans to enhance the WCSM Program structure and processes. The new WCSM PMO will be established within WaTech to manage the day-to-day operations of the Program.
The WCSM Program is a portfolio of projects aimed at modernizing L&I s workers compensation systems and processes. We are transitioning from a mainframe-centric model to a cloud-first model, enabling us to introduce new capabilities and enhance existing ones more easily in the future.
The WCSM PMO Director will work closely with the WCSM Program Director to evaluate the WCSM Program objectives, determine the necessary structure to achieve those objectives, and make recommendations for restructuring the WCSM Program accordingly. The Director will be responsible for establishing, leading, and maintaining the program management office through the WCSM Roadmap, ensuring alignment with industry-standard frameworks, proven techniques, strategies, processes, and structures needed to deliver projects and products within the WCSM Program.
Candidates will be assessed based on the services and expectations listed in the Statement of Work (SOW), as well as their relevant skills and experience for the position. Each applicant must submit a candidate application packet not to exceed five pages, including the following:
- Professional resume clearly articulating comparable experience, skills, and relevant certifications for the role.
- Relevant experience providing program and project management services to projects of comparable size and scale.
- Description of experience managing core competencies inherent to PMO operations.
- Three professional references and their contact information.
