Job Description

Launched in 2012, Amex Offers is a digital advertising platform that connects merchants and brands with tens of millions of American Express Card Members globally. Through closed-loop insights, advanced targeting capabilities, and measurable outcomes, Amex Offers helps advertisers reach high-value consumers while driving growth for merchants and meaningful value for Card Members.

The Amex Offers team is seeking a commercially minded Manager, Advertiser Analytics & Business Insights to lead strategic analytics supporting merchant partnerships, advertiser growth, and the adoption of Card-Linked Offer (CLO) and digital advertising solutions.

This highly visible role sits at the intersection of Analytics, Business Development, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing. The successful candidate will translate complex data into actionable business strategies, helping advertisers understand the measurable impact of their marketing investments while shaping the future value proposition of Amex Offers and Digital Media.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical expertise with commercial acumen and a consultative mindset. They are comfortable leading client-facing conversations, developing data-driven narratives, and influencing both internal and external stakeholders to drive revenue growth, merchant engagement, and advertiser success.

Responsibilities

Strategic Analytics & Commercial Partnership
  • Serve as the analytics lead in strategic merchant and advertiser engagements, providing data-driven recommendations, performance forecasts, ROI modeling, and growth strategies.
  • Partner with Business Development and Customer Success teams to identify opportunities to deepen merchant relationships and accelerate advertiser adoption.
  • Translate advertiser objectives (e.g., acquisition, awareness, conversion, incrementality, ROI) into measurable campaign strategies and success metrics.
  • Develop compelling insights and narratives that demonstrate the value of Amex Offers and Digital Media solutions.

Business Insights & Measurement
  • Leverage Amex's closed-loop network and first-, second-, and third-party data to uncover customer, merchant, and industry insights.
  • Identify underpenetrated audiences, growth opportunities, targeting strategies, and offer constructs that improve campaign performance.
  • Design and interpret A/B tests, incrementality studies, and measurement frameworks to optimize advertiser outcomes.
  • Deliver post-campaign analyses that quantify customer behavior change, sales lift, and return on investment.
  • Develop scalable analytics solutions and reporting frameworks that support merchant engagement and revenue growth.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Innovation
  • Partner closely with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and Analytics teams to shape roadmap priorities and evolve the Amex Offers value proposition.
  • Influence go-to-market strategies through identification of industry trends, merchant priorities, and emerging opportunities.
  • Lead complex analytical projects from problem definition through insight generation, recommendation development, and executive presentation.
  • Drive innovation by challenging existing approaches and introducing new analytical methodologies, measurement frameworks, and data-driven solutions.

Stakeholder Management & Communication
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership, external partners, and non-technical audiences.
  • Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches and actionable recommendations.
  • Manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Foster collaboration across global teams and business units to drive enterprise outcomes.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Business, or a related quantitative field.
  • 6+ years of experience in analytics, consulting, marketing science, data science, or business insights roles.
  • Experience partnering with commercial, sales, marketing, or client-facing teams to drive business outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of marketing measurement, attribution, incrementality, and performance analytics.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
  • Experience translating complex analytical findings into compelling business narratives and recommendations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence across multiple levels of an organization.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in AdTech, Card-Linked Offers, Retail Media, Payments, Loyalty Marketing, Affiliate Marketing, or Digital Advertising.
  • Experience working with transaction-level, customer, or card network data.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R or other advanced analytical tools.
  • Experience designing and evaluating experimentation frameworks, A/B testing, and causal measurement methodologies.
  • Experience leading teams, mentoring analysts, or managing large cross-functional initiatives.
  • Advanced degree in Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, Business, or a related field.

Leadership Competencies
  • Put enterprise thinking first and connect team priorities to broader business objectives.
  • Lead with an external perspective and continuously challenge the status quo.
  • Demonstrate learning agility, sound judgment, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Build strong partnerships across teams and make collaboration essential.
  • Communicate clearly, candidly, and effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Deliver innovative solutions that improve customer, merchant, and advertiser experiences.
