RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client - a growing, innovative technology company - is seeking a Principal Software Engineer (Embedded Systems) in Marlborough, MA to join a collaborative engineering team developing secure, high-performance-embedded solutions for advanced communications systems.
Summary:
In this key role, the Principal Software Engineer (Embedded Systems) will design and develop software for both current and next-generation advanced communications products, while balancing complex technical challenges. You'll work within an Agile environment that offers the visibility and flexibility of small, interconnected teams - backed by the resources of a global organization. Your contributions will play a critical role in advancing secure communications technology used worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and integrate scalable embedded software for global communications systems
* Develop secure, reliable software solutions for cybersecurity-focused applications
* Collaborate within an agile, multidisciplinary team to reach company goals
* Contribute to continuous integration, automated testing, and ongoing software development processes
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
* Expertise in the design and implementation of embedded software systems using C and C++
* Demonstrated experience developing and deploying embedded Linux-based systems
* Solid understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP
* Knowledge of kernel, drivers, or system-level integration is preferred
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
