Summary

ABOUT SLATE

At Slate, we're building safe, reliable vehicles that people can afford, personalize and love-and doing it here in the USA as part of our commitment to reindustrialization. The spirit of DIY and customization runs throughout every element of a Slate, because people should have control over how their trucks look, feel, and represent them.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Slate is building vehicles from the ground up and our systems need to match that ambition. We're looking for an iPaaS Integration Engineer who thrives in a fast-moving environment, can connect our enterprise platforms from day one, and isn't afraid to build things that don't exist yet.

This role owns the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise integrations from solution design through production support working closely with business and IT stakeholders. Typical integrations span ERP (NetSuite), PLM, manufacturing systems (MES), supply chain, finance, and supplier quality platforms.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO
  • Design and implement system integrations, including gathering requirements, analyzing user needs and system requirements, and developing integration strategies.
  • Build and maintain integrations across NetSuite, Fuuz iPaaS, MES, WMS, PLM and supplier EDI / OFTP2 platforms.
  • Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, and finance teams to connect shop floor and enterprise systems.
  • Document integration processes, creating technical documentation and analyzing existing systems and databases.
  • Monitor system performance, performance and reliability making necessary changes and updates post-integration.
  • Own production integrations, including monitoring, incident response, and compliance with internal standards.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of hands-on IT integration experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
  • Deep expertise in at least one iPaaS platform (Fuuz, Boomi, Celigo, etc.) and strong command of APIs, REST, JSON, XML, EDI, and batch processing.
  • 2+ years of NetSuite SuiteScript 2.0 / 2.1 experience is preferred, including experience with User Event, Scheduled, Map / Reduce, RESTlets, and Suitelets.
  • Familiarity with automotive B2B protocols (EDI, OFTP2, AS2, etc.) is preferred.
  • Scripting proficiency in Python, Java, or JavaScript is preferred.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments where requirements evolve and systems are built iteratively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have the ability to travel (up to 10%).
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Must have the ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

WORK AUTHORIZATION REQUIREMENT

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship at this time.
