Mandatory Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in each of the following:
· Installing and configuring production database environments;
· Utilizing database management software (SSMS, MySQL, MongoDB, etc) to create and maintain databases;
· Upgrading and patching production database environments;
· Designing and implementing stored procedures for database management;
· Performing database performance tuning using indexing, query optimization, and server resource management;
· Implementing comprehensive role-based access control to databases, including auditing functionality;
· Configuring database encryption for data at rest and in transit;
· Utilizing industry standard database monitoring and logging tools to track database performance, errors, and failures;
· Implementing and maintaining database backups;
· Configuring database replication and failover clustering, for high availably and disaster recovery.
Desirable Qualifications:
· Possession of a *Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or equivalent in the fields of Computer Science, Information Technology, or Database Management;
· Minimum of five (5) years of experience documenting operational procedures and maintaining runbooks;
· Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting extract, transform, load (ETL) activities;
· Minimum of five (5) years of experience utilizing scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, etc.) to automate database management tasks;
· Minimum of five (5) years of experience performing performance analysis and capacity planning.
