THE ROLE:

The EPYC Engineering Operations Lead plays a key leadership role in enabling cross-functional execution for AMD's EPYC products. This role focuses on driving operational efficiency and excellence across a multi-disciplinary engineering execution team. Key responsibilities include managing multiple program NPI samples from component planning to ensuring on time delivery to teams across AMD sites, leading R&D AOP planning. The Operations leader collaborates closely with engineering and business stakeholders to support activities from an operational standpoint.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate comes from the semiconductor industry and brings experience in developing and executing operational plans, supply chain management with a strong passion for process optimization, data management, automation and financial planning. You love to work with data and AI tools to automate and optimize workflows. You thrive in a fast-paced, technically complex environment spanning multiple global sites and rapidly evolving product requirements. You are driven to make a meaningful impact in the industry and excel at collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers to deliver innovative solutions to challenging problems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Work with Program leads to establish sample plans & budget for each EPYC product. Once approved by the program lead create and maintain operational sample execution plan collaborating with AMD supply chain
  • Develops and shares best-in-class processes to streamline and grow the organization to meet new challenges and expanding roadmaps
  • Works across functional teams to create R&D AOP and work with finance to maintain program POR budget, analyze divergences vs. actuals, and build and analyze organizational metrics
  • Maintains and analyzes operational, resourcing, and financial data - including program resource allocation, material costs, OPEX, and CAPEX - to enable data-driven decision-making, performance monitoring, and strategic planning across operations.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Program Management experience in a fast-paced, highly technical, matrixed environment
  • Highly organized, strong attention to detail, able to prioritize, and balance multiple work streams to tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with budgeting, resource allocation, and long-range financial planning
  • Expert knowledge of Python scripting, SQL, Power BI, and data automation best practices for automating, managing and visualizing operational data.
  • Skilled in interfacing with internal customers, partners and in managing joint-development projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and expertise in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
  • Ability to network quickly and independently to align resources towards a common goal

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering
  • Formal project management education, PMP / Scrum Master preferred
