Job Summary

Client is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with strong expertise in Kubernetes, OpenShift, Kafka, and on premises/cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting, deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining highly available infrastructure and containerized environments.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes
• Strong experience with Red Hat OpenShift
• Strong experience with Apache Kafka
• Experience with on-premises infrastructure and cloud environments
• Experience with Grafana for monitoring, dashboards, and observability
• Strong Linux/Unix administration and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with infrastructure deployment, configuration, and performance tuning
• Strong understanding of networking, storage, security, and system availability

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, manage, and troubleshoot Kubernetes and OpenShift environments.
• Administer and support Kafka clusters, including monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Manage infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Monitor system and application performance using Grafana and related monitoring tools.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, container, networking, and performance issues.
• Support high-availability and disaster-recovery environments.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and application teams to resolve infrastructure issues.
• Implement automation and infrastructure best practices to improve reliability and operational efficiency.
• Perform upgrades, patching, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
• Participate in incident response and root-cause analysis.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong production experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Strong experience managing Kafka in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience supporting on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with Grafana and infrastructure monitoring/observability.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
