As a Senior Front-end Developer, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, building, and optimizing modern user interfaces that support mission-critical applications. You will lead the development of scalable, high-performance front-end solutions using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, and AWS-hosted environments, ensuring seamless integration with .NET back-end services. In this role, you will mentor mid-level developers, set engineering standards, and champion best practices in code quality, accessibility, and performance. You will collaborate closely with designers, back-end engineers, product owners, and mission stakeholders to deliver intuitive, secure, and reliable user experiences that meet evolving customer and program needs. Drawing on deep technical expertise and strong problem-solving skills, you will help guide architectural decisions, drive continuous improvement, and ensure front-end components operate effectively within enterprise-grade systems.

What you'll do:
Lead the design and development of responsive, high-performance user interfaces using Node.js, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
Architect modular, maintainable, and scalable UI component libraries aligned with modern engineering standards
Mentor and provide technical guidance to mid level and junior frontend developers, including reviewing code, coaching on best practices, and supporting skill development
Integrate frontend applications with backend .NET services using REST APIs, JSON, and XML
Drive client-side state management patterns, rendering optimization, and performance tuning for enterprise-grade applications
Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and product owners to ensure seamless end-to-end functionality
Establish and enforce coding standards, accessibility guidelines, and quality controls across the frontend codebase
Use Git and GitLab for version control, branching strategies, and merge request workflows
Troubleshoot complex UI issues across environments, platforms, and browsers, providing root-cause analysis and actionable remediation
Operate within AWS cloud-hosted environments and support integration, deployments, and environment troubleshooting
Promote a culture of high-quality engineering through code reviews, design reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions
Support planning, estimation, and architectural discussions for new features and modernization efforts
Partner with teams to ensure frontend solutions meet accessibility, security, and performance requirements
Review code and container scans and remediate both code and package vulnerabilities on a regular basis.
What you'll need:
8+ years of experience developing modern frontend applications using React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js
Advanced experience building UI components with HTML, CSS, Sass, and responsive design frameworks
Strong experience integrating with REST APIs and working with JSON and XML data formats
Proficiency with Git and GitLab for source control, collaboration, and code review workflows
Ability to design, refactor, and maintain scalable frontend architectures in cloud environments (AWS preferred)
Deep understanding of frontend performance optimization, browser behavior, debugging techniques, and application profiling
Demonstrated ability to mentor developers and lead best-practice discussions across the engineering team
Experience building cloud-native solutions in AWS
Experience with YAML and CI/CD pipeline development (GitLab CI preferred)
Experience with package scan vulnerability remediation
Experience with integration with .NET APIs or full stack environments
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical decisions and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Bonus points if you have:
Experience with automated UI testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress)
Familiarity with accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG)
Familiarity with JFrog Artifactory
Familiarity with Jira for DevOps
