Summary
Backend Full-Stack Engineer
Location: San Francisco, CA
Please Review Before Submission:
- Role focus is approximately 70% Back End and 30% Front End development.
- Preferred Back End technologies: Python with FastAPI. Candidates with strong Java and Spring Boot experience will also be considered.
- Preferred Front End technology: Angular. React experience is acceptable, especially when paired with a Python back end.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS is mandatory.
- Candidates should demonstrate stable project experience and a consistent work history. Resumes with multiple short-term projects or frequent job changes may not be considered favorably.
- All candidates must have an active LinkedIn profile. Profiles with employment verification are only preferred.
Responsibilities
- Working with the product team to build applications that enable our users to be more effective
- Contribute to design and implementation of these solutions leveraging industry standards and best-practices
- Develop scalable back-end systems to integrate with existing user platforms
- Support team in shepherding releases through the engineering process through to production
Required Skills
- Bachelor''s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar
- 5 -7 years of experience building production quality web-based multi-tier web applications
- Significant experience building restful web services in Java (Spring), Python (Django/Flask/Fast), or Scala(Play)
- Experience integrating with web front-ends with modern JS frameworks like Angular
- Experience building data platform or data analytics web applications
- Experience with SQL in big data environments, writing and analyzing complex queries
- Familiarity with building on Amazon AWS services, and using the AWS console and command line tools
- Experience working in agile scrum methodologies using Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) development practices
- Experience writing automated unit, component, and integration tests
- Able to adapt to evolving business priorities and requirements
Preferred Skills
- Experience with data pipelines integrated with Machine Learning models
- Hands on experience with data pipelines and big data technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Flink, or similar
- Familiarity with Apache Airflow or similar
- Experience using AI throughout the development lifecycle, such as leveraging AI code assistance, spec-driven development, using skills to speed up development workflows
