Senior Data Engineer (Azure Databricks) – Contract-to-Hire

Location: Irving, TX (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract-to-Hire
Rate: Up to $65/hr C2C

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our client''s team in Irving, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, T-SQL, and Azure SQL, with hands-on experience designing scalable data pipelines and data warehouse solutions in Azure cloud environments. This role requires someone who can independently analyze business requirements, provide technical solutions, and build robust data engineering solutions supporting supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, and Python.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for large-scale enterprise data processing.
• Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and Azure SQL databases.
• Design and implement data warehouse solutions using dimensional modeling and best practices.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and recommend scalable technical solutions.
• Develop and maintain data integration processes across multiple enterprise systems.
• Optimize Spark workloads for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and development teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and performance across Azure cloud platforms.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and production support activities.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of Data Engineering experience.
• Expert-level experience with Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, or similar distributed data processing platforms.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Advanced T-SQL and Azure SQL experience.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, data integration, and data pipeline development.
• Experience with Azure Cloud services.
• Strong knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and Dimensional Modeling.
• Ability to analyze business problems and recommend technical solutions.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with .NET, C#, or .NET Core.
• Experience with Angular.
• Exposure to AI/ML technologies.
• Experience working in the Supply Chain domain.

Additional Requirements

• Local candidates to Irving, TX only.
• Must be willing to work 3 days onsite.
• Must be available for Video + In-Person interviews.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
