Job#: 3021447 Job Description: Lab Engineer/Technician 4100% ONSITE in Redmond, WA
$55 - $67/hr (dependent on experience)
12+ month contract
Job Summary:
This onsite lab technician/engineer role supports the development of custom compute and AI hardware for data centers by performing hands-on electrical measurements on pre-production systems. The position involves preparing and assembling hardware, executing VNA and oscilloscope measurements, performing soldering and rework as needed, and summarizing data to support hardware validation and manufacturing readiness.
Typical Day in the Role
The purpose of this team is supporting development of custom compute and AI hardware for data centers.
Key projects: This role will contribute to taking hands-on measurements of pre-production engineering samples of hardware to help drive the development of hardware and get it ready for manufacturing so I can be moved into data centers.
o Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of:
- Work in the lab collecting VNA and/or scope data.
- Prepare systems for measurement.
- Some soldering/rework is required.
- Summarize data.
Compelling Story & Candidate Value Proposition
o What makes this role interesting? - This role provides the opportunity to work onsite in a large lab, helping develop hardware that is very important for data centers.
Candidate Requirements
Years of Experience Required: 8-10 overall years of experience in the field.
Degrees or certifications required: No degree is required to be eligible for this role. Most of the skills are acquired through the job training, however if the candidate did have a technical degree in electronics this would be a plus.
