Job Title: Java Developer
Location: Greenbelt, Maryland
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Compensation: 120-190K (depends on years experience)

Responsibilities
- Support the IRS EDOS program by designing, developing, and testing high-performing, scalable enterprise applications using Java technologies.
- Collaborate with development teams and product managers to develop software solutions aligned with project requirements.
- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including designing, coding, testing, and deploying.
- Write effective APIs and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with interface standards.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software, supporting continuous improvement efforts.
- Prepare software releases and participate in Scrum activities, including daily stand-ups and sprint planning.
- Integrate microservices within cloud environments and configure Spring Boot applications.
- Support modernization of legacy systems and implement Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
Requirements
- Bachelor''s Degree and 12+ years of overall experience.
- US Citizenship required.
- Must possess an active IRS MBI Clearance and have current GFE.
- Extensive experience in Java Full Stack Development and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL, Microservices Architecture, and Spring Boot.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in Agile teams.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Spring Boot integration with Kafka.
- Background in modernizing legacy systems.
