As a Software Developer your typical day might include:- Design, develop, test and deploy simple and complex features in SAP SuccessFactors Cloud HCM suite of products using best coding standards and target architecture
- Debug complex issues in code and figure out the root cause, using tests automation to validate the work
- Get hands on experience with emerging trends and technologies in the field of cloud development, including open-source products and contribute to the on-going development of SuccessFactors suite of products
- Troubleshoots issues within own area of expertise and supports others in resolving issues
You have achieved:- Minimum BS degree in computer science or related field
- 3-7 years of experience in Java and related technologies
- Previous working experience and knowledge of Agile methodology
You are good at:- Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, OOP, design patterns and software design principles
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages: Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Groovy, or Bash.
- Experience with backend services (REST APIs, Microservices) and frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
- Understanding of at least one relational database system such as SAP Hana, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or DB2
- Hands-on expertise in cloud-native development with Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- DevOps mindset - inherent sense of ownership through the development and deployment lifecycle
- Knowledge of SCM tools (e.g., Git/GitHub) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Understanding of microservices architecture and modern API design.
- Experience in software engineering best practices such as code reviews, automated testing, version control, and security-first development.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for distributed systems.
- Willingness to "go the extra mile" to ensure the highest quality of experience for our customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Collaborative, enthusiastic, and proactive mindset with a passion for coding and problem-solving.
Nice to Have:- Familiarity with Generative AI, Foundation Models, and LLMs.
- Exposure to LLM-based application development.
- System design expertise for scalable, resilient AI-enabled systems.
