Job Description: Scrum Master / Business Analyst Workday Finance (Operations & Enhancements)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master / Business Analyst to help operationalize incoming work across Workday Financials. This individual will play a key role in managing incident intake, triaging requests, coordinating enhancements, and ensuring work is properly shaped and prioritized before entering the delivery team.

This role blends Agile coordination, functional Workday Finance knowledge, and hands-on ServiceNow experience. The ideal candidate is highly organized, process-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational support environment.
Key Responsibilities Incident & Intake Management
Operationalize and manage incoming work, including incidents and enhancement requests.
Triage incidents, categorize them appropriately, and assign them to the correct resource.
Monitor and follow up on open items to ensure timely resolution.
Ensure proper documentation and adherence to incident management workflows.
Enhancement & Backlog Coordination
Engage stakeholders to clarify enhancement requests and shape them into well-defined requirements.
Translate business needs into structured user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
Act as a Scrum coordinator to bring refined work into the team backlog.
Partner with the delivery team to manage both incident and enhancement work streams effectively.
Workday Finance Functional Support and Understanding
Maintain strong working knowledge of Workday Financials modules, including:
Financial Data Model (FDM)
Accounts Payable (AP)
General Ledger (GL)
Other core finance functions
Assess and shape requests based on functional impact within Workday.
Support configuration and hands-on system updates when bandwidth allows.
ServiceNow & Workflow Management
Utilize the ServiceNow dashboard to manage intake and incident tracking.
Understand and apply basic incident flow steps.
Properly categorize, prioritize, and assign tickets within ServiceNow.
Ensure work is placed in the correct queue ( right bucket ) for efficient resolution.
Agile & Team Collaboration
Support Scrum ceremonies as needed.
Coordinate work across functional and technical resources.
Balance operational support with project-based enhancement efforts.
Prepare for increased BA-focused responsibilities as the role evolves.
Required Qualifications
Experience serving as a Scrum Master and/or Business Analyst in an enterprise environment.
Hands-on experience with Workday Financials.
Strong understanding of finance processes (FDM, AP, GL, etc.).
Experience managing incidents and enhancements within ServiceNow.
Ability to triage, categorize, and prioritize work effectively.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
