Summary

Transformation Consultant / Technology & Digital Transformation / 6-12 Month Contract / Atlanta, GA 30326
Our client is a Technology & Digital Transformation consulting firm. Based out of Atlanta, GA, they are looking to hire a Transformation Consultant on a contract basis. Local Atlanta candidates are preferred. The consultant will work onsite at the firm's Atlanta office.
This is an opportunity to join a large-scale technology transformation program where you will serve as the connective tissue across multiple workstreams. Rather than owning the technical delivery of a specific workstream, you will help workstream leads become more effective by providing the structure, standards, governance, reporting, and tools needed to keep a complex transformation moving forward. This role is ideal for a consultant who enjoys bringing order to complex programs, facilitating senior-level meetings, identifying risks, and helping teams establish consistent processes.
Contract Duration: 6-12 Months
Start: ASAP
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, PMO, or project enablement roles, ideally within a management consulting or professional services environment.
  • Experience supporting or establishing program governance structures, including steering committees, working groups, decision frameworks, and escalation processes.
  • Experience designing and standardizing status reporting, RAID logs, and workplan templates across multiple workstreams or teams.
  • Working knowledge of technology transformation delivery, including ERP or platform implementations, infrastructure or cloud migrations, or large-scale systems integration programs.
  • Proficiency with project and program management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or Asana.
  • Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence workstream leads and senior stakeholders without formal authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of executive- and steering-committee-level materials.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management information systems, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • PMP, PRINCE2, CSM/Scrum, or SAFe certification.
  • Prior experience in a management consulting or systems integrator environment.
  • Experience working on client-facing technology transformation engagements.
  • Experience supporting programs using hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery models.
  • Familiarity with change management and organizational readiness practices as they relate to program governance.
