Job Description:Avanciers are looking for an experienced Product Engineer with strong knowledge of mechanical component manufacturing processes and supplier management. The candidate will support mechanical components used in UPS, PDU, and STS products within the Data Center segment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate mechanical components for quality, reliability, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Work with suppliers to optimize designs for manufacturing (DFM).
  • Assess supplier capabilities, tooling, production lines, and manufacturing capacity.
  • Perform manufacturing feasibility studies and cost estimations.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Production teams.
  • Support supplier qualification, component changes, and sourcing decisions.
Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of experience in Product, Mechanical, Component, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes involving sheet metal, copper, plastic, and aluminum.
  • Experience working with suppliers on design optimization and manufacturing feasibility.
  • Ability to evaluate supplier capabilities, tooling, and production processes.
  • Strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering (Associate's degree or High School Diploma with strong relevant experience also considered).
  • Experience with SAP and/or Windchill PLM.
