What we do ensures that all agencies can deliver on their mission. Our reach touches every facet of City government and is instrumental to the successful day-to-day operations of the City of New York. When you work at DCAS, you're not just working for one agency, but in service to all of them. It's an opportunity to provide meaningful support, quality customer service, and help protect the future of New York City for generations to come. The candidate selected for this role will be responsible for: supporting, maintaining, and enhancing Centre 360, the City's public reservation platform for the panoramic experience atop the David N. Dinkins Municipal Building. Working as part of a collaborative team and reporting to senior development staff, the Application Developer will resolve technical issues, build out new features, and help ensure the platform remains stable, secure, and performant under public-facing demand. In addition, this candidate may be called upon to provide development support and coverage for other critical citywide systems managed by the DCAS internal team.

As an Application Developer on the Centre 360 team, you will:

- Support the ongoing development, maintenance, and enhancement of Centre 360.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and impact to the public, including during monthly reservation openings and peak demand periods.
- Develop new features and functionality based on business needs and visitor feedback.
- Write clean, scalable code and perform code reviews with peers.
- Collaborate with senior developers, QA, and business analysts to design, test, and deploy software updates.
- Contribute to API development and integration with other City systems and services.
- Support the reservation, scheduling, and capacity-management functionality that powers the visitor booking experience.
- Participate in data migration, reporting, and dashboard development as needed.
- Help ensure system security and compliance with internal IT and OTI standards.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of system architecture, configuration, and development processes
