Role Summary

We are seeking a senior AI Governance Portal Architect to design and drive the end-to-end architecture of an enterprise AI governance platform serving a large regulated-industry client. This role owns the technical blueprint across the full AI lifecycle from intake and policy enforcement through operational observability, audit, FinOps, and continuous compliance and acts as the domain authority who defines what the platform must become before the client knows to ask. Within 90 days, this architect will have assessed the current state, closed the most critical compliance gaps, and delivered a sequenced roadmap that aligns engineering, legal, and business stakeholders around a single governance operating model.

Key Responsibilities

Design the target-state architecture for an AI governance platform unifying an agentic approval workflow with a real-time operational portal covering intake, policy enforcement, agent lifecycle, observability, FinOps, and BU self-service layers
Architect a continuous compliance mechanism that re-validates deployed AI agents on material changes, replacing the current one-time approval model
Define the conversation forensics and tamper-evident audit trail architecture, ensuring compliance with telecom data privacy regulations including CPNI requirements
Lead the agentic enrichment pipeline design specifying the scope, data sources, SLAs, and HITL gate logic for agents that automate the approval workflow from 45-day manual cycles toward intelligent routing
Architect the ROI and outcomes layer that ties agent operational cost to measurable business value, enabling BU-level accountability beyond cost tracking
Drive platform capability sequencing authoring a prioritized roadmap, making defensible build-vs.-buy decisions, and aligning cross-functional stakeholders including Legal, Compliance, Data, and Engineering teams
Establish governance standards for prompt templates, knowledge base content, and model versioning within the platform's agent registry
Serve as the technical authority in client-facing architecture reviews, translating complex platform design decisions for both executive and engineering audiences

Required Qualifications

10+ years in enterprise technology architecture with 3+ years of hands-on experience building or leading GenAI, LLM, or agentic AI systems; prior experience designing or governing a responsible AI or model governance platform is required
Deep knowledge of AI governance frameworks including NIST AI RMF, EU AI Act principles, and enterprise model risk management; ability to translate policy requirements into platform capabilities
Demonstrated experience designing agentic AI architectures including multi-agent orchestration, HITL gate design, confidence scoring, and audit trail instrumentation
Proficiency in event-driven architecture (Kafka or equivalent), API design (REST/GraphQL), and data architecture for compliance use cases including immutable audit logs and multi-tenant data isolation
Proven ability to operate in ambiguous, client-facing engagements producing architecture decisions, sequenced roadmaps, and stakeholder alignment without a complete brief
Experience in regulated industries (telecom, financial services, healthcare) with working knowledge of data privacy obligations relevant to AI systems

Technical Skills

Python LangChain / LangGraph React.js Node.js MongoDB PostgreSQL Apache Kafka Vector DBs (Pinecone / Weaviate) REST / GraphQL APIs Docker / Kubernetes AWS / Azure NIST AI RMF MLflow Observability (Datadog / OpenTelemetry)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience architecting platforms for telecom clients with exposure to CPNI, FCC compliance, or equivalent regulated-data environments
Familiarity with MemGPT, LangGraph, CrewAI, or similar agentic orchestration frameworks in production settings
Track record of bridging research-grade experimentation and production-grade platform delivery within the same program
TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent enterprise architecture certification is a plus
Experience building BU-level self-service sandbox environments within a governed multi-tenant AI platform
