Contract Enterprise Security Architect/Engineer (Azure/M365)

Rate: Open

Location: Remote in the United States

Duration: 6-12+ months

Qualifications

Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience with a combination of enterprise security architecture and engineering
Experience across M365 configurations and security review
Experience with E5 security or similar such as Defender suite
Hands-on scripting/development with Python and PowerShell
Experience designing secure architectures for Azure cloud
Experienced across Threat/Vulnerability management, Red teaming, Identity management, AI/ML, governance, PKI, DLP, security assessments, audit, assurance, GRC
Hands-on experience with security tools (EDR/XDR, SIEM, IAM/MFA, DLP, firewalls, vulnerability management).
Knowledge of network protocols, identity architectures, authentication, encryption, and zero trust principles.

Preferred

Healthcare or financial services industry experience
Strong understanding of HIPAA Security Rule, HITECH, and PHI protection requirements.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM
Terraform

Responsibilities

Responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the enterprise security architecture.
Collaborates with IT, Risk, Ethics, and Compliance, Legal, business stakeholders, and vendors to establish scalable, secure, compliant, and user-friendly technology solutions that protect the organization and the clinics we serve from emerging threats.
Continue to develop and maintain enterprise security architecture as we grow, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Architect and implement secure solutions which serve our clinics and their needs
Define and maintain security reference architectures, diagrams, and standards.
Conduct security risk assessments and threat modeling for new technologies, vendors, and client sites.
Lead the design and deployment of these security controls
Oversee secure configuration of existing systems
