Summary

Position: Embedded Software Engineer 3 (Remote Control Software Engineer)

Location: Mossville, IL
Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Interview Process: 1st Round Virtual | 2nd Round Technical Interview (Virtual/In-Person)

Pay Rate: Up to $50/hr on W2

Candidates from similar industries such as aerospace, heavy equipment, automotive manufacturing, or industrial manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, integrate, and validate Remote Control Systems across software, hardware, controls, and communication networks.
  • Develop and maintain embedded software using Embedded C/C++ and MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Perform system integration, verification & validation (V&V), troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
  • Define system requirements, architecture, interfaces, and feature traceability.
  • Support functional safety, FMEA, product quality, and release activities.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams to deliver production-ready solutions.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of Embedded C/C++ development experience.
  • 5+ years of MATLAB/Simulink experience.
  • Strong experience with RTOS and embedded systems development.
  • Experience with System Integration and V&V.
  • Knowledge of CAN, Ethernet, CANoe/CANalyzer, Wireshark, and Git.
  • Understanding of requirements engineering, system architecture, and electrical schematics.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Robotics, Autonomy, Remote Control, or Machine Control Systems.
  • Knowledge of AUTOSAR, Functional Safety, FMEA, HIL/SIL, DOORS, or Jama.
  • Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot or Microsoft Copilot.
