Position Overview

Value Technology is seeking a highly analytical, data-driven Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management (F&SCM) to lead the design and implementation of our next-generation enterprise data solution built on Microsoft Fabric.

In this role, you will act as the critical bridge between core operational business units (Finance, Procurement, Inventory, and Operations) and our Enterprise Data Engineering team. Your primary objective will be to extract, profile, map, and translate complex D365 F&SCM transactional data structures into scalable semantic layers, lakehouses, and dashboards within Microsoft Fabric. The ideal candidate will have standard ERP operational visibility coupled with a modern data-warehouse mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements Elicitation & Matrix Mapping: Collaborate with corporate controllers, financial analysts, and supply chain directors to capture business KPIs, financial consolidation rules, and operational reporting needs.
• D365 Data Profiling & Extraction Strategy: Navigate D365 F&SCM schema layouts, mapping standard data entities and raw tables (e.g., CustTrans, VendTrans, InventTrans, LedgerJournalTrans) to build out core dimensions and facts.
• Fabric Solution Blueprinting: Work side-by-side with Data Architects to configure Fabric workspaces, advising on business logic configurations for Lakehouses, Warehouses, and DirectLake reporting models.
• Functional Specification Authoring: Author highly technical Functional Design Documents (FDDs), mapping source-to-target fields, tracking complex currency conversions, global financial dimensions, and inventory valuation logics.
• Testing & Data Validation: Define comprehensive user acceptance testing (UAT) scripts. Personally validate automated Fabric ingestion loops against standard D365 trial balances and warehouse inventory reconciliations.
• Sprint & Backlog Management: Maintain the data delivery roadmap within Azure DevOps/Jira, prioritizing user stories to ensure agile sprint delivery.

Required Technical Experience & Qualifications

• D365 F&SCM Expertise: 4+ years of dedicated functional background in Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management.
• Core Module Fluency: Proven mastery over processes including Record-to-Report (General Ledger, Fixed Assets), Order-to-Cash (Accounts Receivable), and Procure-to-Pay (Inventory, Procurement, Production).
• Modern Analytics Familiarity: Foundational exposure to the Microsoft Fabric environment or its underlying components (Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage/ADLS Gen2, Power BI).
• Documentation Tooling: Proficient utilization of Azure DevOps (ADO) or Jira along with process modeling tools (Visio/Lucidchart).
