Job Description
We are seeking a Data Engineer III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in designing and building scalable data management systems, data mining, and algorithm development and a proven ability to deliver reliable data platforms, predictive models, and integrations that meet business requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Design, construct, install, test, and maintain data management systems.
- Build high-performance algorithms, predictive models, and prototypes.
- Ensure systems align with business requirements and industry practices.
- Integrate new data management and software engineering technologies into existing data structures.
- Develop processes for data mining, data modeling, and data production.
- Create custom software components and analytics applications.
- Research new uses for existing data and data acquisition.
- Employ diverse languages and tools to connect and integrate systems.
- Collaborate with data architects, IT, and data scientists to meet project goals.
- Install and update disaster recovery procedures.
- Recommend improvements to enhance data reliability and quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Technical degree or related work experience.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases such as SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, and MongoDB.
- Experience programming and architecting back-end solutions in languages such as Java or J2EE.
- Knowledge of data mining practices, algorithms, and applied data usage.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience building predictive models and prototypes in production environments.
- Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and implementation.
