ABOUT OUR CLIENT / ABOUT THIS ROLE
Medix is currently seeking a Systems Automation Administrator for a long-term contact opportunity with one of our Healthcare / Hospital System clients. This individual will be joining a team, and playing a specialized role in developing programs to automate manual systems tasks - from basic administration to more complex API integrations between Enterprise Systems and Entra ID.
We are seeking individuals who had advanced PowerShell scripting, and who have had hands-on experience with API integration. Prior Healthcare experience is highly preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working as part of an Enterprise Systems Administration team
- Designing and building enterprise-grade PowerShell modules and frameworks to automate user lifecycles, infrastructure management, and system maintenance - anything that is manual
- Helping with API management and integration by developing complex integrations between enterprise systems using REST APIs, with a primary focus on Microsoft Graph and Entra ID.
- Navigate advanced API concepts such as OAuth token flows, permission scoping (Delegated vs. Application), and throttling mitigation.
- Assist maintaining SQL Server-backed data structures to capture automation telemetry, execution metrics, and script logging.
- Deploy and orchestrate automated tasks using enterprise scheduling platforms (e.g., JAMS), ensuring proper job dependencies and retry logic.
- Enforce security principles, utilizing least-privilege access (RBAC) and secure secrets management.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior Hospital / Healthcare experience is highly preferred
- Advanced Automation Scripting - PowerShell Modules, Frameworks, Secure Coding
- Must have Microsoft 365 and Entra ID
- Microsoft Graph SDK
- API Integration - REST/JSON, OAuth, API Rate Limiting, Cross-platform Orchestration
- Data - SQL Server (T-SQL), Power BI, Automation Telemetry
- RBAC
