Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP EAM Consultant with deep functional expertise in SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) and SAP IS-Utilities Work Management, with hands-on experience delivering solutions in the current SAP S/4HANA release. This role will support the design, configuration, and optimization of end-to-end work management processes across asset-intensive utility operations.
The consultant will partner with business stakeholders, GIS and mobility teams, and technical resources to implement scalable, integrated solutions supporting planning, execution, reporting, and continuous improvement of field work processes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead design and configuration of SAP PM and IS-Utilities Work Management processes in S/4HANA environments
Gather business requirements and translate into scalable functional designs and system configurations
Configure and support:
Notification and work order lifecycle
Preventive and corrective maintenance strategies
Task lists, maintenance plans, and scheduling
Resource planning and dispatch integration
Work execution and confirmation processes
Support integration with:
GIS platforms (e.g., ArcGIS/ESRI ecosystem)
Mobility solutions (SAP Asset Manager or equivalent)
Materials Management (MM), Finance (FI/CO), and BW/analytics
Lead workshops, process mapping sessions, and fit-to-standard exercises
Drive testing strategy (unit, integration, UAT) and support defect resolution
Develop functional specifications for RICEFW objects
Provide production support and continuous improvement recommendations
Support cutover planning, data migration validation, and hypercare activities
Required Qualifications
7+ years of SAP EAM experience with strong functional expertise in SAP PM
Proven experience implementing SAP IS-Utilities Work Management
Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA (current release level)
Strong understanding of utility field work and asset lifecycle processes
Experience across full project lifecycle (design through deployment)
Demonstrated experience with integrations across SAP modules and external systems
Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in electric, gas, or water utility environments, prior gas experience preferred
Experience with SAP FSM and FSM Mobile
Familiarity with ESRI ArcGIS integrations (AGOL/Portal environments a plus)
Exposure to SAP Fiori apps for EAM
Experience with BW/embedded analytics for work management reporting
Technical Skills
SAP PM configuration (notifications, orders, task lists, maintenance plans)
IS-Utilities Work Management functionality and data model
Integration touchpoints across MM, FI/CO, and GIS ecosystems
