Location: Richmond, Virginia (Onsite)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst for a key initiative to implement a new SaaS bond accounting platform. This role is central to documenting business processes, performing technical analysis, and supporting product development. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, and vendors, translating business needs into detailed technical requirements for a successful platform implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Document current-state and future-state business processes to support operations.
- Lead discovery sessions with business users, operations teams, technology partners, and third-party vendors.
- Create cross-functional workflow and swimlane diagrams using Microsoft Visio.
- Develop a working understanding of the application ecosystem, architecture, interfaces, and integrations.
- Document source data, data exchanges, connectivity methods, and trace data lineage.
- Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Support backlog refinement, prioritization, and delivery activities using Broadcom Rally (formerly CA Agile Central).
- Facilitate meetings and workshops to resolve questions and close documentation gaps.
- Communicate findings and technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Experience:- 7+ years of experience in a role such as Technical Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or Product Owner.
- Proven experience documenting complex business processes and their supporting technical components.
- Experience analyzing application integrations, APIs, file transfers, and system dependencies.
- Experience documenting data lineage, source systems, connectivity, and data ownership.
- Experience working within an Agile delivery model and managing work in Rally.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Visio for creating cross-functional workflows and swimlane diagrams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services, banking, trust operations, accounting systems, or corporate trust.
- Experience supporting a large-scale application modernization or platform transformation initiative.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, MuleSoft, or IBM FileNet platforms.
- Experience working with internal and external data providers and vendor-managed applications.
- Familiarity with REST and SOAP APIs, SFTP, file-based integrations, SQL, and SharePoint.
