We are seeking an experienced SQL DBA responsible for database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, database security, cloud integrations, and automation across hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL Server administration, cloud database technologies, PowerShell automation, and database optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and comply with organizational policies and procedures
Perform database administration, maintenance, enhancement, and performance tuning
Design and maintain logical and physical database models and data dictionaries
Configure SQL Server environments across physical servers, VMs, and cloud infrastructure
Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies across hybrid environments
Implement security controls including TDE, data masking, and Row-Level Security
Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and locking/blocking issues
Automate database and infrastructure tasks using PowerShell, dbatools, and Cloud CLIs
Support Azure SQL, Managed Instances, AWS RDS SQL Server, and hybrid connectivity
Perform database migrations from on-premises to cloud platforms
Create and maintain test database environments and disaster recovery procedures
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams on deployments and database improvements
Assist with CI/CD schema deployments and database versioning initiatives
Required Skills & Experience:
3–5 years of SQL Server Database Administration experience
Strong experience with backup & recovery strategies in hybrid environments
Experience configuring SQL Server on physical, virtual, and cloud-based infrastructure
Hands-on expertise with:
Performance tuning
Query optimization
Index management
Locking/blocking resolution
Experience implementing:
Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)
Data masking
Row-Level Security
Proficiency with PowerShell scripting and automation tools
Experience with:
Azure SQL Database
Azure Managed Instance
AWS RDS SQL Server
Knowledge of hybrid infrastructure connectivity and cloud database administration
Experience with database monitoring, integrity checks, and maintenance automation
Understanding of database structures, systems design, and data modeling concepts
Preferred Skills:
Cloud migration experience using Azure Database Migration Service or AWS SMS
Experience with CI/CD and schema deployment tools:

Multi-tenant database environment experience
