Job Title: Senior Data Analyst

Location: Cleveland, OH | Columbus, OH | Albany, NY | Buffalo, NY (Hybrid candidates must reside within a 35-mile radius)

Job Summary

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Senior Data Analyst on behalf of our client in multiple locations (Cleveland, Columbus, Albany, Buffalo). This hybrid role is part of a high-impact Fraud/AML data team focused on building and enhancing enterprise data pipelines that support reporting, analytics, and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data mapping, SQL development, and data analysis within a financial or risk management environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead data mapping efforts from source systems to target data marts within the data supply chain

  • Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and mapping documents

  • Develop, test, and maintain scalable datasets and reusable SQL code

  • Perform peer code reviews and ensure high-quality data deliverables

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data architecture and solution design

  • Contribute to data models, entity relationship diagrams (ERDs), and technical documentation

  • Define business rules, transformation logic, and data validation processes

  • Support auditability through clear documentation and context diagrams

  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, efficiency, and performance

  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and data architecture review sessions

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree with 5+ years of experience, OR Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience, OR equivalent work experience

  • Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience in data querying and transformation

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), specifically BigQuery

  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex datasets

  • Experience implementing automated data quality checks and validations

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience working in Agile environments using tools such as Jira and Confluence

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Fraud, AML, or financial services domain

  • Familiarity with ETL tools such as Ab Initio or similar technologies
