Cloud Solutions Architect

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect for an on-site contract in Texas. This senior-level role supports enterprise infrastructure initiatives with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure, working within a cross-functional Technology Operations and Support environment. The position operates with minimal supervision and requires strong technical judgment, hands-on architecture expertise, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

The Cloud Solutions Architect will architect, design, modify, and enhance enterprise cloud, network, and server infrastructure to support business needs. Responsibilities include leading or contributing to infrastructure strategy and technical roadmaps, modernizing legacy systems, applying ITIL best practices and change control procedures, serving as a technical lead on cross-functional projects, developing and maintaining detailed technical documentation and dashboards, supporting disaster recovery planning, resolving complex infrastructure and network issues, mentoring technical staff, collaborating with Information Security on risk remediation, participating in on-call rotations, ensuring compliance with accessibility and FERPA standards, and performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• 7 years of experience in design, implementation, administration, and security of cloud, on-premises, and network infrastructure systems

• 5 years of experience configuring, securing, and administering network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, VLAN, DNS, DHCP)

• 4 years of experience in system administration or senior-level analysis within Microsoft Azure environments

• 4 years of experience scripting using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and SQL

• 4 years of experience demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of previous experience managing systems and applications in state-hosted or enterprise data centers

• 3 years of previous experience supporting database architecture and system integrations

• 2 years of knowledge of Azure Front Door administration
