This is an on-site position- MUST have a car and willing to drive to to Brooklyn, New York-(5 days a week- onsite) no flexibility- Major retailer is seeking an IT Leader/Director who will ensure their systems meet stringent regulatory, security and operational requirements. Develop and execute the long-term roadmap for IBM i systems supporting Retail enterprise application environments. Retail exp is a plus- Drive modernization initiatives including high availability, IASP optimization and support the transformation of legacy applications. Oversee day-to-day operations of IBM i servers and applications ensuring uptime for 24/7 operations. Manage system performance, capacity planning, auditing, high availability and disaster recovery for highly regulated platforms. Own policies, documentation, access controls, and operational procedures related to IBMi environments. Lead an mentor a blended team. Foster a high performance culture with strong accountability, communications and customer service. Serve as a subject matter expert for all IBM i related initiatives. enhancements and system impacts. Manage vendor relationships with managed service partners and IBM i software vendors. Will manage 3-4 people.(Operators)
10 + years exp with AS400 iSeries, Systemi) systems, 5 yrs plus of leadership in IBM i IT Operations and enterprise systems mgmt, Strong expertise in CL,SQL, DB2 for i and IBM systems administration.RPG is a plus. Demonstrated exp working within strict regulatory , auditing and security frameworks.
MUST HAVE STRONG BACKGROUND WITH AS400 I series.
