Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Lead MS SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server environments. The ideal candidate will lead database administration activities, ensure high availability, troubleshoot performance issues, and support business critical applications. This role requires strong expertise in SQL Server administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, security, and mentoring junior DBAs.
Key Responsibilities:
•Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases in production and non-production environments.
•Monitor database performance and implement tuning and optimization strategies.
•Manage backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
•Ensure database security, integrity, and compliance with organizational standards.
•Perform database upgrades, patching, and capacity planning.
•Troubleshoot database issues and provide root cause analysis.
•Lead DBA initiatives and mentor junior team members.
•Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and development teams to support database needs.
Required Skills:
•Strong experience as an MS SQL Server DBA.
•Expertise in SQL Server performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
•Hands on experience with SQL Server Always On, replication, clustering, backup, and recovery.
•Knowledge of database security, monitoring, and automation.
•Leadership experience in managing DBA activities and cross functional collaboration.
