Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test automation, API testing, SQL, CI/CD pipelines, and banking payment systems, including ACH, wire transfers, and SWIFT.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks.
• Develop and execute functional, integration, end-to-end, and regression automation test suites.
• Implement shift-left testing practices to improve software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Automate testing for payment applications and transaction-processing workflows, including ACH, wire transfers, and SWIFT.
• Perform REST and SOAP API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Write SQL queries to validate application data, payment transactions, and integration results.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and delivery.
• Test applications deployed in cloud and containerized environments, including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Docker.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot automation failures, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams to resolve defects.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, test planning, estimation, and reporting.
• Improve automation coverage, framework reliability, reusability, and overall testing efficiency.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow coding standards and secure development practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in test automation, quality engineering, software testing, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining enterprise-scale test automation frameworks.
• Strong experience with Playwright and/or Selenium.
• Programming experience in Java and/or Python.
• Experience with banking payment applications or transaction-processing systems, including ACH, wire transfers, SWIFT, or similar electronic payment capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of REST and SOAP API testing using Postman or equivalent tools.
• Strong SQL and relational database skills for transaction validation and data analysis.
• Experience testing applications deployed on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Docker and containerized environments.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Git, Bamboo, Artifactory, Jira, and Confluence, or comparable tools.
• Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
