Genesis10 is currently seeking a Specialty Software Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Irving, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. In this role, you will consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for specialty software engineering. The ideal candidate will steer platform engineering excellence by establishing CI/CD patterns, IaC templates, and golden-path repositories, while evangelizing DevSecOps and GitOps with a focus on Conda Python.
Responsibilities: - Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Specialty Software Engineering
- Review and analyze complex, multi-faceted, larger-scale, or longer-term Specialty Software Engineering challenges
- Contribute to the resolution of complex situations requiring a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel
- Steer platform engineering excellence by establishing CI/CD patterns, IaC templates, and golden-path repositories
- Evangelize DevSecOps, GitOps (EPLX), and DORA metrics with a focus on Conda Python
Requirements: - 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education
- Demonstrable prior experience with Open Source Contributions to Conda-Forge and Pixi Package Manager
- Experience developing GitHub Actions and CI/CD Automation
- Strong experience with Python development and automation
- Solid understanding of DevOps and SRE Methodologies
Pay range: $63.96 - $71.69 per hour
