Senior 3D Web Engineer React / Three.js / WebGL

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong expertise in React.js, Three.js, and WebGL to build interactive, visually rich web experiences. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of system design, interactive web content, and 3D component development, along with hands-on experience in AI-augmented software engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications using React.js and related technologies.
• Build interactive web experiences, including 3D visualizations and browser-based 3D components using Three.js and WebGL.
• Contribute to system architecture, technical design, performance optimization, and application scalability.
• Develop reusable UI components and integrate interactive visual elements into web applications.
• Apply AI-augmented development practices, including AI-assisted coding, testing, debugging, and code optimization.
• Demonstrate proficiency in spec-driven development and loop engineering, using structured specifications, iterative development, feedback, and validation to improve engineering outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Ensure code quality, maintainability, performance, and compatibility across modern browsers.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6 10 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Hands-on experience with Three.js and WebGL for interactive web development.
• Strong understanding of full-stack application development, REST APIs, and backend integration.
• Experience in system design, application architecture, reusable components, and performance optimization.
• Practical experience with AI-augmented development workflows and modern AI-assisted engineering tools.
• Familiarity with spec-driven development, iterative engineering workflows, and automated testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a collaborative engineering environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building Three.js-based 3D components, interactive visualizations, or immersive browser-based experiences.
• Experience with advanced WebGL rendering, 3D asset integration, animation, lighting, materials, and scene optimization.
• Exposure to modern backend frameworks, cloud platforms, CI/CD, and application deployment.
• Demonstrable experience applying AI-driven development workflows, including specification-based implementation, iterative refinement, and automated validation.
• Candidates based in New Jersey or the Tri-State Area are preferred.
