Tableau Administrator

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Maryland Heights, MO that is seeking a Tableau Administrator.

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Tableau Administrator to join our team and take ownership of managing, maintaining, and optimizing our Tableau environment. This role requires a hands-on technical expert with strong Linux and AWS experience who can hit the ground running. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, understands data, and is comfortable interacting with a large user base, including senior leadership.

Responsibilities:
* Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Tableau Server in a Linux and AWS environment
* Monitor, tune, and enhance system performance to ensure stability and availability
* Manage permissions, security, and licenses for a large user base (1,700+ users)
* Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure data accuracy and effective dashboard delivery
* Troubleshoot and resolve Tableau server issues, including connectivity, performance, and integration challenges
* Understand and connect data sources used to build dashboards and reports
* Provide technical expertise and guidance on Tableau administration best practices

REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven experience as a Tableau Administrator, with hands-on experience installing and managing Tableau Server
* Strong proficiency with Linux operating systems, including command-line administration
* Experience working in AWS environments, particularly with EC2 instances
* Strong SQL skills and familiarity with database management
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Self-starter who requires minimal training and oversight
* On call scheduling every 4 weeks - this team does not have frequent issues and has an offshore team, but you will need to be available for escalations every 4 weeks; If you are called in that night, you will flex in that next morning

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
* Previous experience as a Tableau Developer or in dashboard creation
* Experience with Redshift and other cloud-based databases
* Familiarity with data science tools (e.g., Alteryx, SAS)
* Understanding of enterprise-level analytics platforms and architecture

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
