Cable Technician / Low Voltage Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cable Technician to support commercial low-voltage projects in the Wilmington, NC area. This role is primarily hands-on and focused on cable pulling and termination. Candidates should be comfortable working independently on active job sites and handling physically demanding work.

Responsibilities

• Pull, route, and secure Cat5e/Cat6 cabling
• Terminate cables to patch panels, jacks, and faceplates
• Drill through walls, ceilings, and floors to complete cable runs
• Dress, label, and organize cabling per project standards
• Read and follow drawings, layouts, and work instructions
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Required Experience & Skills

• 1-2+ years of hands-on cable technician experience
• Strong experience with structured cabling, pulling, and terminating
• Comfortable working on ladders and performing physical tasks
• Experience working in commercial environments
• Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic

Preferred Qualifications

• Cable testing experience (Fluke or similar tools)
• Ability to read blueprints or low-voltage drawings
• OSHA 10 certification

This is a Contract position based out of Wilmington, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
