Scope of Work: Provide onsite field technicians to support an enterprise PC refresh initiative across three primary operating company locations: Amarillo, TX; Denver, CO; and Minneapolis, MN.
Resources will work under client direction, leveraging existing PC deployment standards, tools, and procedures.
Primary Responsibilities
Execute day to day PC refresh activities (device preparation, deployment, and transition from legacy endpoints)
Follow established procedures for imaging, configuration, asset tracking, and documentation
Engage directly with end users for device handoff, basic troubleshooting, and immediate post cutover support
Coordinate with local leads on schedule, priorities, and site specific logistics
In Scope Activities
PC Refresh Execution
Receive, stage, and prepare new PCs/laptops according to standards
Apply approved images, configurations, and policies using approved tools and build processes
Perform required pre deployment checks (connectivity, login validation, basic app access per checklist)
Coordinate pickup/installation windows with end users or local site contacts
End User Handoff and Floor Support
Schedule and execute device handoffs with end users (desk side or designated pickup locations)
Assist users with first login and basic orientation to the refreshed device
Provide initial troubleshooting related to device setup (peripherals, docking, network/Wi Fi connectivity, profile issues)
Capture and route issues outside the refresh scope into the IT support/ticketing process per direction
Legacy Device Transition
Collect legacy endpoints according to decommissioning procedures
Apply required steps for data validation/backup (where directed and enabled by approved tools/processes)
Label, package, and stage decommissioned devices for disposal, return, or reuse per policy
Coordination, Documentation, and Reporting
Update provided tracking systems (CMDB/asset databases, spreadsheets, ticketing systems)
Record device status, user acceptance, and any open issues per provided templates and cadence
Participate in regular coordination or stand up meetings to review progress and priorities
All work will be executed using existing tools, processes, and approvals. Technicians will not independently introduce new procedures, tools, or standards without explicit direction.
Skills - Must Have
PC Tech, experience with PC refresh and troubleshooting, experience with customer service, end user support
