Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to support our Mobile Member Communications (MMCC) initiative. This strategic program focuses on modernizing member-facing mobile and web applications using a cloud-native, API-driven architecture integrated with core healthcare systems, enterprise identity, and API governance frameworks.

This is an architecture-focused role and does not involve hands-on application development. The ideal candidate will provide architectural leadership, guide solution design across multiple delivery teams, and ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards and Architecture Review Board (ARB) requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide enterprise and solution architecture leadership across multiple development teams.
  • Define and deliver architecture artifacts, including solution architecture documents, logical architecture diagrams, sequence diagrams, workflows, and technical design documentation.
  • Establish architectural direction for cloud-native, API-first solutions supporting modern web and mobile platforms.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, governance processes, and Architecture Review Board (ARB) expectations.
  • Partner with engineering, DevOps, product, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Guide application modernization initiatives leveraging Azure cloud technologies, container platforms, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Review solution designs and provide technical oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support architecture governance, technology evaluations, and best practices for scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience as an Enterprise Architect or Solution Architect leading enterprise-scale technology initiatives.
  • Expertise designing cloud-native, API-driven architectures, preferably within Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, API governance, and enterprise integration.
  • Understanding of modern web and mobile application architectures, including React and React Native ecosystems.
  • Experience working with Kubernetes and OpenShift (Azure Red Hat OpenShift - ARO) environments.
  • Strong knowledge of architecture governance, solution design methodologies, and enterprise architecture best practices.
  • Proficiency creating architecture documentation using Microsoft Visio, including logical, physical, and sequence diagrams.
  • Experience collaborating with development, DevOps, infrastructure, security, and business teams in Agile environments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within the healthcare or health insurance industry.
  • Familiarity with enterprise identity and access management concepts.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.
  • Experience supporting Architecture Review Boards (ARB) and enterprise governance processes.
