Summary

Position: HR Generalist Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Summary
The HR Generalist supports the full spectrum of human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and HR operations. This role serves as a key partner to employees and management, ensuring HR policies, procedures, and practices align with organizational goals and applicable labor laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer day-to-day HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, employee records, and HRIS maintenance
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to policies, benefits, payroll coordination, and workplace issues
  • Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer processes
  • Assist with performance management processes, employee development initiatives, and training coordination
  • Support employee relations matters, including investigations, documentation, and resolution guidance
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, EEO, ADA, FMLA)
  • Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment, and vendor coordination
  • Support compensation activities, including salary benchmarking and job classification
  • Maintain HR policies, employee handbooks, and standard operating procedures
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and compliance requirements (including government or contractor-related HR reporting, if applicable)
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to support organizational culture and workforce planning
Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and HR best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and reporting tools
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and employee advocacy skills
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3 6 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist role
  • Experience in a regulated, technology, healthcare, or government-adjacent environment preferred
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred but not required
