Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer / SDET with strong expertise in Selenium and Java to lead our automation and quality engineering initiatives. The QA Architect will be responsible for designing scalable automation frameworks, defining testing strategies, and ensuring the highest quality standards across all product releases.

This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement modern automation solutions, and mentor QA engineers to achieve engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect robust end-to-end test automation frameworks using Selenium & Java
  • Define QA strategies, automation roadmaps, and best practices for multiple projects.
  • Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Lead test planning, execution, and reporting for web and API testing.
  • Ensure automation scalability, maintainability, and reliability.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and processes to optimize testing efficiency.
  • Mentor QA teams on automation, coding standards, and quality metrics.
  • Conduct reviews of test code, frameworks, and overall QA architecture.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of overall QA and automation experience.
  • 3+ years in a QA Architect or Lead Automation Engineer capacity.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Selenium for UI and API automation.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Java.
  • Deep understanding of test automation frameworks, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar).
  • Familiarity with API testing (Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., k6, JMeter).
  • Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • QA certifications such as ISTQB or Certified Test Architect are a plus.
